Outstanding performance in Italy: Four medals for Romania at the European Olympiad in Informatics for Girls

The four students from the Romanian team with the silver and bronze medals at the 2026 European Olympiad in Informatics for Girls

A new chapter of excellence was written by young programmers from Romania. At this year’s edition of the European Olympiad in Informatics for Girls (EGOI 2026), held in Cesenatico, Italy, our country’s delegation achieved an extraordinary result, winning four medals in a close competition, in which 251 competitors from 68 countries participated.

The Romanian team impressed at EGOI 2026, winning four medals:

  • 🥈 Silver Medal: Moldovan Laura, “Tudor Vianu” National College of Informatics, Bucharest
  • 🥈 Silver Medal: Morariu Iulia-Ela, International Theoretical High School of Informatics, Bucharest
  • 🥈 Silver Medal: 𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞�𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝, National College of Informatics “Tudor Vianu” / Center of Excellence “Hai La Olimpiada”, Bucharest
  • 🥉 Bronze Medal: Radu Ilinca-Russandra, National College / County Center of Excellence / Infogym – Let’s Go to the Olympics, Iași
